If you like using image editing tools such as PicMonkey, Canva, and Pixlr to create images for your blog, I recommend checking out PicsArt. PicsArt is a great tool for creating collages, adding special effects and text to images, and more. You can then share those images with the PicsArt community, share them on social networks such as Instagram and Facebook, and of course, add them to your blog or books.
In this article I get into how to use PicsArt to create images for your blog.
The app is available for iOS, Android, and Windows devices, and you can also use it on PCs starting with Windows 8.1 and up.
Since I'm on a Windows 10 computer, to install the app, I simply went to the Windows Store. (There is an app for the Windows store under all apps, under the 'S' for store. ) You can also do a search for the app in the app store on your phone. For example, in iTunes, if you use an iPhone or the Google Play store for Android. Alternatively, just do a Google search for 'PicsArt' and then you'll see links for downloading it such as pictured below. Simply click on the 'Download from Windows Store' button, and you'll be all set.

Once the app is installed on your computer and/or mobile devices, you'll be good to go.
Step-by-Step Instructions for Using PicsArt for Creating Images for Your Blog or Book
Go to PicsArt App now and click 'Open'
After you click 'Open' it will bring you to the App.
Then you can see 3 horizontal lines from the upper left corner and when you click that, it will give you options to Explore, Find Artist, and Shop and you will also see the Settings and Rate Us option on the lower left part.
When you click Explore it will bring you to PicsArt's Features and Tools, but before you can use the tools you need to upload a photo first. It will give you options to upload from your:
- Gallery (stored images from your computer or mobile phones)
- Take a photo
- PicsArt app
- Dropbox
- OneDrive
Now, let's go to the features:
1. Photo Editor
The Photo Editor is where the fun begins. It includes the following options:
- Filters
- Effects
- Cropping
- Perspective adjustment
- Cloning
- Motion
- Stretch
- Curves
- Adjust
- Enhance
- Tilt shift
- Masks such as bokeh
- Stickers
- Frames
- Text
In addition to the above, you can also add in clip art, which is available from the PicsArt shop in the app. One other advanced feature is that if you'd like to create a double exposure, you can do so by combining multiple photos into one.
When you click Edit and upload your photo, it will bring you to this
Let's click Tool
Now when you click Tool it gives you options to Crop, Free Crop, Shape Crop, Perspective, Clone, Motion, Curves, Adjust, Enhance, and Flip or Rotate.
Let's try AutoEdit
Now when you click AutoEdit, it brings you to plenty of filter options seen on the right side. There you can choose to add different filters to your such as Black and White and much more.
How to put autotune on audacity. Next is Effect / FX
Here you can see more options to edit your photos like Blur, Artistic, Pop Art, Paper, Distort, Colors or Corrections. Also, just like in the AutoEdit section, there is an option for you to change filters for your photo.
Next is Add Photo
So here, again you will have the option to add more photos if you desire to edit more.
Next is Square Fit
Square Fit is designed for Instagram posts, and any other social or other places you may want to use a perfectly square photo.
How To Use Pic Art
Next is Clipart
So in this section, as you can see, you can choose different kinds of Clipart to add on your design. They are organized by category (i.e.; love, accessories or emotion etc.). Personally, I haven't used a lot of Clipart, but depending on your niche, audience, and your own personality, Clipart may be a fun addition for you. Or if it doesn't fit with your business, you may want to use it for images you create for personal use.
Next is Text
This is an option where you can add some text to your photo and you also have the option to change fonts to your liking. This is a great feature for creating images for your blog, such as the featured image with the title of your blog post. You can also use it to create quote posts for social media.
Next is Mask
In this section, you have an options to choose different kinds of masks from Lights to Bokeh, Border, Texture and Artistic option on the lower left side. How to use snapchat on laptop.
Next is Draw
This is an option where you can draw anything you want. You also have the option to erase or delete your creation if you are not satisfied with it.
Next is Frame
Here you can choose from beautiful frames if you wish to add a more whimsical touch to your photo.
Next is the last option for this section, the Border
This is an option for you if you want your photo to look more interesting. At this time there aren't a lot of different border options (only one, really), but you can change the thickness of the border, the color, etc.
2. Drawing Tools
When you click the 'Draw' bar, you will be asked to 'Draw on Photo'or 'Draw on Blank.' The option you choose will depend a lot on your purpose, and your own comfort with drawing. For instance, I'm terrible at drawing anything, and so I'd probably shy away from the blank canvas, but may find it helpful to draw on a photo to make a note or in some other way emphasize an aspect of the photo. With the draw option, you can change thickness, color and so on to suit your needs.
3. Collage Maker
I've often used collages in my blog posts to show before and after, or to compare and contrast. You can also use them if you have a series of images that tell a story. Since I'm not a good artist, I've often enjoyed the collage option because it gives me an opportunity to do something creative without the need to draw anything.
Just like the 'Draw' bar, when you click 'Collage' you have options if you want Grid, Frame or Background.
Now when you click 'Grid' it will give you options if you want Square, Landscape, Portrait,Facebook Covers or Lines.

And when you are finished editing your photos, don't forget to save your work so all your efforts won't be wasted.
I hope you enjoyed this PicsArt tutorial. Since it's a free tool, I recommend that you add it to your image editing and creation arsenal.
